How to Execute live Chat Commands

Commands are functioned by triggering some pre-configured actions. The actions are triggered using keywords.

Live chat operators can execute a command by typing /, followed by the required command. They can be executed while an operator is in a conversation with a customer or the website visitor.

A customer cannot view the commands and actions used by the operator in a conversation and are only visible to the operator in the conversation window.

A message that includes potential entry types are displayed when an operator types /help in the chat window.

• @username is used to mention a user in the conversation.

  • #channel is used to mention a Discuss channel.
  • /command is used to execute a command.

Create Helpdesk Ticket& Helpdesk Search in Odoo Live Chat

Operators can create helpdesk tickets from a conversation using the command /helpdesk and operators can also search through existing tickets using the command /helpdesk_search by keyword or ticket number. A helpdesk ticket is created by entering the command /helpdesk and providing a title , then press Enter.

The newly created ticket is added to the helpdesk team and is assigned based on the team’s priority. To view the ticket we either click on the link in the chat window or go to the helpdesk app and click on the Tickets button.

In order to search through the helpdesk tickets we enter the command /helpdesk_search and type a ticket number or keyword, then press Enter. A list of links is generated when one or more related tickets are found.

A list of recent pages the visitor has viewed on the website is seen when an operator types the command /history in the chat window.

Create a New Lead in Odoo Live Chat

An operator can create a lead in the CRM application by typing the command /lead in the chat window.

After entering the command /lead, create a title for the new lead and then press Enter. A link appears and we can view the pipeline by either clicking the link or navigating to the CRM app.
