How to Create Customers in Odoo17 Sales Module
In this blog we will see how to create a customer. so it can be found inside sales. In sales we have customers and in purchase module we have vendors. The creation process is same for all. So let’s begin:
First of all open the sales module, inside the sales module under orders you have the option called customers

sales -> orders -> customers
When you open the customers you can see all the previously created customers.
So to create a new customer what you have to do is to click on the new icon . And you can see the customer creation form.
So there are two options, a customer can either be an individual or a company. When you click individual you can see the option company name below the customers and here you have to specify which company this individual belongs.
Then you can see other options like tax ID, job position, phone, mobile, email, title, and tags to fill in the required information. Under the customer details, there are several options which include contacts and addresses to add contacts and addresses.
In that when you click the add icon you can see the create contact form where you can choose different addresses such as contact, invoice address, delivery address, follow-up address, and other address. Multiple contact addresses can be added to a single customer.
Next, you have a tab called Sales and Purchase where you have to specify all the details regarding sales and purchases corresponding to this particular customer. There you have the options for salesperson and payment terms.
Next, we have the delivery method. Whatever the delivery method is you can choose it from here. It can be standard delivery, post or local delivery. It is local delivery by default
Now let’s look at the purchase section, there you can see the option buyer which is similar to salesperson in the sales section, then payment terms, payment methods, and receipt reminder which automatically sends a confirmation email to the vendor X days before the expected receipt date, asking him to confirm the exact date.
Then you have the point of sale section which has a barcode option and the fiscal information section which has a fiscal position option.
And last you have the miscellaneous section with the reference website and SLA policies.
Now we have the accounting section of the customer where you can see the bank accounts, electronic invoicing, and accounting entries.
Then we have the internal notes section where you can write any internal notes.
Last we have the partner assignment which contains a geolocation option to get the geolocation of the address. This is all about how to create customers in sales Module of Odoo17
