How to Set Up Dropshipping in Odoo

To configure dropshipping in Odoo18 simply follow these steps:

Enable Dropshipping

To set up dropshipping in Odoo18, first go to the Purchase app and select Configuration ‣ Settings and Under the Logistics section, enable the Dropshipping checkbox and Save your changes.

Next, open the Sales app, go to Products ‣ Products, and either select an existing product or Create a new one. On the product page, enable the Can be Sold and Can be Purchased checkboxes.

To select a vendor and their product price, click the Purchase tab, and you can add more than one vendor, the vendor at the top of the list will be chosen for purchase orders automatically.

Now, switch to the Inventory tab and check the Dropship box in the Routes area.     

Fulfill Orders Using Dropshipping

Go to the Purchase tab to select a vendor and their product price.

Even with multiple vendors, purchase orders will automatically placed with the top vendor on the list.

Once confirmed, the order transforms into a purchase order, automatically generating and linking a dropship receipt. You can view this receipt by clicking the Dropship smart button at the top right of the purchase order form.

The dropship receipt shows the vendor in the Source Location field and the customer in the Destination Location field. Once the product is delivered, click the Validate button at the top left of the dropship receipt to confirm the delivered quantity.
